It caters to a wide range of customer workloads, including databases, virtualization and cloud computing, high-performance computing (HPC), virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), infrastructure security, system management, enterprise applications, collaboration/email, streaming media, and more. Meanwhile, the SR668 V2 serves as an ideal platform for solutions such as hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) and software-defined storage (SDS), providing them with high-performance hardware infrastructure.

The ThinkServer SR668 V2 supports Intel® Optane™ Persistent Memory 200 Series and up to two 3rd Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable Family CPUs, with a maximum core density of up to 40 cores per processor in multi-socket configurations.

Industry-leading Lenovo AnyBay technology enables flexible mixing of SAS/SATA HDD/SSD and NVMe SSD within the same drive tray. The SR668 V2 supports a maximum storage capacity of up to 40* 2.5" or 20* 3.5" SAS/SATA HDDs, plus 2* 7mm SATA/NVMe SSDs. It also supports up to 36* NVMe SSDs and 2* Micro SD card kits.

The ThinkServer SR668 V2 supports up to 14* PCIe 4.0 slots and 2 OCP 3.0 slots, and can accommodate up to 4* 300W GPUs. This delivers higher scalability and faster network speeds to ensure I/O-intensive workloads such as software-defined networking and grid computing, eliminating bottlenecks that would reduce overall enterprise efficiency.
